Raptor: A mobility scooter convertible for multiple purposes
Raptor is most characterized by its body configuration—the upper and lower parts are detachable from each other.
Raptor is a three-wheeled platform mobility scooter featuring kaleidoscopic transformation. With the upper design unit swapped, Raptor will have its shape and functions reconfigured for many different purposes. The upper and lower parts are joined by a unique coupler unit that enables secure and easy connection of mechanical structures. This mechanism allows creators and entrepreneurs in many fields to easily and freely produce brand-new mobility tools by developing Raptor-compatible design units. Being a mobility platform, Raptor will go far beyond the concept of vehicles—it will produce new businesses and cultures, bringing drastic change and growth to the world of mobility infrastructure.

Roidz Tech is a startup jointly founded by two heroes of the Japanese robotics industry: Anri Sugihara, President and Representative Director of RDS, and Takayuki Furuta, General Manager at Future Robotics Technology Center of Chiba Institute of Technology (fuRo). Roidz Tech is committed to delivering futuristic mobility vehicles and robots to the world, uniting RDS’s expertise in making things with fuRo’s AI and robotics technologies. Japan has been facing the problem of aging population and a declining birthrate, and Roidz Tech was established in the midst of it to promote mobility and activity of all people including middle-aged and senior citizens, thus activating society and economy. Solving issues of the aging society requires updating the mobility infrastructure for people and automating things based on AI and robotics. Yet we at Roidz Tech dare emphasize one thing—excitement. Being hopeful and excited, we will build the future. We will uplift the society if it lacks excitement. We at Roidz Tech are committed to delivering futuristic mobility vehicles to all people and driving the society into a fun, bright future.
